PRP is prepared from the patient's own blood and returned to the scalp, where it is used to support follicle recovery and hair calibre. At MONARA it is given as a programme rather than a single injection: scalp massage and scalp scaling first, then PRP, then regenerative scalp laser in the same visit. It is also given on the day of a transplant, as the first step of the aftercare schedule.

What is PRP made from?

Your own blood, drawn on the day and separated so that the platelet fraction can be returned to the scalp.

How is it different from MTS?

PRP delivers your own platelet concentrate; MTS creates controlled micro-channels so growth ampoules reach the follicle. They are commonly combined — the clinic prices that combination as a single session.

Can I really return to work immediately?

The donor area is covered by your own hair from day one. The recipient area behaves as it would in any transplant — small crusts form and are removed gradually from about day ten — so how visible the operation is depends mainly on where the grafts were placed and how you wear your hair.

Why does it cost more?

Selecting and trimming donor follicles one at a time, then extracting from a full head of hair, takes substantially longer than working on a clipped scalp. The clinic publishes the multiplier openly: 1.3 times the shaven tariff for the same graft count.
